Traditional Micro-needling

The skin treatment choice for a brighter, smoother, youthful complexion. It can be used all over the face and body to stimulate the natural production of new collagen and elastin fibers, thereby smoothing wrinkles and scars in just a few short treatments.

Traditional Micro-needling

In traditional needling, a special pen-like tool fitted with a cartridge containing tiny needles is used. It is evenly moved over your skin to create tiny micro punctures. They are so minute that you won't notice them. Pairing needling with specialised serums helps the gliding of the pen across your skin making the treatment more comfortable, it also helps product absorption by up to 300%. That means all those precious anti-ageing ingredients are going right to where they are needed.

These minor punctures stimulate the production of collagen in your skin. Due to this damage, the natural healing process of the skin starts and results in the production of collagen and elastin. Consequently, you get firmer smoother skin.

Micro-needling is a minimally invasive but completely safe process. The damage is highly controlled to stimulate collagen and elastin production. It effectively treats most of the common skin problems such as fine lines, wrinkles, acne, acne scarring, cellulite, pigmentation, sun damage, lax skin, and in addition to that, micro-needling is also being used to reduce stretch marks.

Fractional RF Micro-needling

In Radiofrequency micro-needling, the radio frequency (RF) energy is added to the traditional micro-needling. It delivers even better results. The radiofrequency energy used in this procedure is gentle and doesn’t cause any serious damage.

The radiofrequency energy is used to target the deeper layers of the skin via a specialized device. This device is also fitted with tiny needles. But along with puncturing it also delivers radiofrequency energy. The heat produced due to radiofrequency energy stimulates the production of collagen and elastin. It results in more effective and enhanced tightening of the skin. So, Fractional RF micro-needling is better than traditional micro-needling.

The best thing about both traditional and RF micro-needling is that the recovery time is very short. You can resume your daily activities or go back to work after a few hours. Redness may occur but it goes away in 24 to 48 hours.

WHAT MAKES FRACTIONAL RF MICRO-NEEDLING BETTER?

IT TREATS MULTIPLE PROBLEMS

The introduction of RF produces far better results than traditional micro-needling. It is capable of treating many more skin problems than traditional micro-needling. Anyone can achieve total facial rejuvenation with RF micro-needling. It treats fine lines, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, stretch marks, acne, acne scars, enlarged pores, sunspots, and skin laxity, cellulite, and crepey skin.

IT TARGETS DEEPER SKIN LAYERS

RF micro-needling targets deeper layers of the skin without damaging the top layers of the skin. This is possible because the RF energy is delivered past the tip of the tiny needles to deep skin layers. It effectively stimulates collagen production and tightens the skin.

IT IS MORE CUSTOMISABLE

The device used in RF micro-needling treatments is customisable. The puncture depth and RF energy intensity can be easily adjusted for different patients. It depends on the needs of the patient. You can have a minor skin-enhancing treatment or even a deeper skin tightening procedure.

IT IS MORE EFFECTIVE

Traditional micro-needling stimulates collagen production but RF micro-needling amplifies the skin tightening process. Thus, it is more effective in reducing wrinkles, acne scars, sun damage, and other skin problems.

TARGETED TREATMENTS

Anti-ageing

As we age, collagen production declines, our skin loses its elasticity, and the stores of hyaluronic acid that help with the plumping and the firmness. Micro-needling with targeted serums can help improve the fine lines and wrinkles that contribute to the ageing process. The thickness, texture, and evenness of the skin can also be addressed. This treatment should be an ongoing part of your self-care routine after your initial block of treatments to improve and maintain results.

Recommended Treatments

Traditional Needling 4-5 Sessions

Fractional Needling 2-3 Sessions

Frequency 4-5 weeks apart.

Acne

Breakouts and cystic acne can affect all age groups and skin types. Acne appears in many forms, from whiteheads to the often-painful inflamed lumps under your skin. The latter can result in the dark pigmented scars left after healing. Micro-needling is a very effective way to target acne and the scarring it leaves behind. Serums targeted specifically for acne and scarring are applied to the skin and absorbed into the deeper layers through the tiny punctures created by the needle cartridge. This helps skin health greatly by soothing inflammation, and supplying much-needed nutrients for feeding and repairing the skin.

Fractional Needling 2-4 Sessions

Scarring

Scarring is something that most of us have encountered over our lives. It can be from a multitude of things. Some examples are wounds, cuts, surgery, acne, burns and skin conditions like eczema to name a few. Many people are self-conscious about scarring and use makeup to cover them in exposed places like the face, hands etc. The good news is that micro-needling can effectively target scar tissue by literally breaking it up and causing the skin to naturally produce an abundance of collagen and elastin. This is going to thicken the epidermis and grow new smoother skin with more even pigment distribution. Specific serums are used to penetrate into the deeper layers of the skin. The ingredients soothe, repair and feed the skin and encourage collagen and elastin production.

Enlarged Pores

Enlarged pores can be a cosmetic concern for some. It's hard to achieve that clear flawless looking skin when we have an uneven skin texture. Usually, congested skins have enlarged pores as they are generally oily or combination skins. The chin nose and cheeks are mainly where these enlarged pores are found. In some cases, sun-damaged skins that tend to be drier lose their elasticity or the ability to shrink back. Makeup tends to emphasize enlarged pores. Micro-needling helps to reduce pore size by creating a natural wound healing response in the skin.  As the skin goes through the natural rejuvenating phase, new collagen and elastin fibers are formed. These help to thicken plump and tighten the skin. Targeted serums are used to feed and repair the skin and assist with plumping.

Pigmentation – Uneven Skin Tone

Pigmentation or skin discolouration can be caused by hormones, sun exposure, your skin type and colour, trauma, and medication to name a few. The natural pigment in our skin is called melanin and when triggered, becomes overactive and results in uneven skin tone and darker patches. The interesting thing about melanin is it’s a protection factor for our internal organs as it absorbs and reflects UV rays away from our skin. Tanned skin is damaged skin. Micro-needling targets the pigment-producing cells in our skin and breaks them up. We introduce targeted serums to help repair rejuvenate and feed the skin whilst discouraging melanin production. We recommend the use of sunscreen SPF 50+ and a serum to help block melanin production.
